Mary Anne and Michael love to entertain friends over cocktails, so their living room functions accordingly. A bar, metallic finishes and a cozy fireplace are among what makes the space feel like a lounge. Outside, their space was dreary and outdated, and not at a resemblance of this family’s personality.
The team tears up an entire yard of soggy grass and replaces it with concrete paving stones. Several cedars trees are added to hide the fence and balance the perimeter of the yard. An L-shaped bar is finished with slate cladding on the sides, a solid slab on the top, and three built in stainless steel outdoor appliances.
