James and Michelle’s living-dining room is playful and inviting, making it ideal for entertaining. They've cleverly injected colour through their art and some quirky accessories. Outside they have a narrow strip of grass that slopes down to the street – it's awkward and exposed.
An enormous tiered deck now fills the entire space and levels out the yard’s surface. A surrounding cedar fence adds privacy from the street, and neighbours. At one end of the deck a pergola is built, and a modern retractable awning is installed for shade cover while dining.
