Carolyn and Steve carefully selected every item in their mid-century modern living room, and although they are avid sports fans, they wisely chose to not make the TV the focal point of this space, and rather turn their chairs around when they want to watch the game. Unfortunately their design savvy stopped before making its way out to their balcony. The plastic roof of this covered patio is old and decaying, and their existing furniture is ancient and uncomfortable.
The entire space is painted grey, their old roofing is torn down, and new acrylic panels are installed that insulate the space and diffuse the light. Carolyn and Steve are lucky to have a covered deck, walls and electricity outside, making it an ideal space to house an outdoor TV. An injection of colour turns drab into fab, with a retro twist.
