Tracy and Vince’s heritage home is richly adorned in dark wood, with brightly accented shades of green and pastel patterns giving it character and charisma. Outside they have a small backyard with partial flagstone under a rickety dining table and a disconnected bench on the other side of the yard.
Kelly’s challenge is to connect these two spaces into a dining room that echoes the vibrancy of their home inside. A new flagstone path is laid to bring a dining and seating area together into one room. An old pergola becomes a fresh new seating area with a deep comfortable bench; and a new dining table with slip-covered chairs transform the space into a collection of colours and a feast for the eyes.
